Half a Moon
Red and risen
And as we pass,
I find a reflection
And I find it go
Kissing the waters,
Kissing the mind
What of you, O forgotten Moon?
Begone, leave no fiery trail
Of passion,
Red, across the Sky
Your reflection,
Red, across the seas
You have left me afore,
To rue
And you rise again,
To leave me lonely
And cold
Blue at dawn I have been,
As the mists do clear
To reveal the Day,
That I fear will arrive
Why must I fear, O Moon, for you?
When you love me no more
Let the Day be mine,
To caress and embrace
Let me not shroud myself in mist
That you leave behind
Red and risen
And as we pass,
I find a reflection
And I find it go
Kissing the waters,
Kissing the mind
What of you, O forgotten Moon?
Begone, leave no fiery trail
Of passion,
Red, across the Sky
Your reflection,
Red, across the seas
You have left me afore,
To rue
And you rise again,
To leave me lonely
And cold
Blue at dawn I have been,
As the mists do clear
To reveal the Day,
That I fear will arrive
Why must I fear, O Moon, for you?
When you love me no more
Let the Day be mine,
To caress and embrace
Let me not shroud myself in mist
That you leave behind
