Once again,
I don't know what I'm talking about

Once again,
I'm sitting by myself by a cold window

Once again,
The night ends peacefully as the birds awaken with their soft cries lulling me to sleep

Once again,
I refuse to be bothered by the mockery of the music

Once again,

I'm comfortable again

My bitter muse

My muse,
My bitter muse

Far away from me,
and with worries without.
I call you now,
to share with me my window sill
and last cigarette

See the night,
through the lazy smoke.
Now grey. Now blue.

See the sorrow,
that you no longer know.
as the Moon sheds a tear,
like you once did, before

Feel the cold wind,
as I smile,
through your hair in my eyes
And turn to look into yours

To find a cold stare,
through the smoke of my last cigarette
Now grey. Now blue.

My muse. My bitter muse.

The First Rains

My eyes watered
As the first rains,
of this night now,
burned through my memories

I remember now that night,
Moonlit and blue.
A fiery passion flowed as we kissed
like the stream upon which we stood

I grew then, slowly
to want and love you

But hurting still,
from yesterday, and the distances of today
I wavered, incoherent

Now, I stand
Weak and wavering
Unable to hold on

To these first rains
